Sleepy time

Brayden has gotten into the habit of falling asleep at random times of the day, and anywhere. (WOW I didn't think I looked that fat and pregnant until I looked at this picture. Only 4 weeks to go and then the dieting starts;)
Brayden fell asleep about 2 seconds after climbing onto my lap.

Brayden was taking a nap in his big boy bed, but came out of his room and cuddled with Caleb. I guess sometimes daddy is more comfortable then his bed.
We don't complain when he comes up and cuddles with us. It's a rare occurance, and one that we love!

George and Brayden

For those who are wondering who George is, he is the doll that Santa brought Brayden in hopes of preparing him for becoming a big brother.
We weren't sure how well it would work, or how much Brayden would really like playing with it but so far he really loves his new doll. I am trying to have him practice holding the doll and to be soft with it. It's going okay...

But not all the time. We will definatly have Brayden sit down when he wants to hold his baby brother :)
Brayden loves George. He hauls him around the house, and tries to have him do everything he does. Here they are riding Brayden's pony together. He also tries to feed him, and takes him for walks in his stroller.
He even tries to be a little daddy to George. Yesterday I went to check on him in his room and Brayden was trying to figure out how to put a diaper on George. I ran away before I could get a picture of him during the act, but here is George with the diaper.
A few days before this I found Brayden putting lotion all over George. Caleb says he doesn't know if he should be proud or scared that his little boy plays with a doll so well. But I think that it is cute and good. It means that Caleb is a good dad if Brayden can be so caring with a doll, and hopefully Brayden will be a good big brother. (Only 4 weeks left!)
For those who are scared about Brayden playing with a doll don't worry he still loves to push his trucks around the house.

Big Boy Brayden

It seems like just this last month Brayden is getting to be so big. I can't believe how much he is doing and saying! He is defiantly my little toddler now, and no longer my baby. He loves to wear Caleb and my shoes around the house.
Here he is next to his big boy bed. He loves his new found freedom, and stays in bed pretty well. It just depends on the night.

SNOW DAYS

I know that I have been slacking lately in the blogging department. (I think that I'm more busier now being a full time mom then when I worked). So here is my attempt to catch up. Many know that during the holidays we got tons of snow. Caleb had to go out and shovel the snow, and since I can't help (we don't want the baby to come too soon) Brayden decided that he could help dad. Here are some cute pictures of Daddy's little helper... Check out Brayden's eye. He wacked it on the side of the door only one day before. Luckily he didn't hit it too hard, so no stitches. But it still looked really sore.
Bundled up and ready to go outside, but willing to stop and pose for the picture.

Brayden helping dad...

Sort of.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Wow, I can't believe that 2008 is over. Last year went by so fast! Looking back over the year I can't help but be grateful for everything we were blessed with. The biggest thing that comes to my mind is that we were able to get into our first home. It is so wonderful to have our own home, and it is even more special knowing that Caleb and all our family put in a lot of hours so that our dream could be a reality.

Also looking back I can't believe how fast Brayden is growing up. He completed some huge accomplishments this last year. He learned how to crawl, walk and now run. He has learned a huge amount of words. Decided he was a big boy and didn't need his binky any more (a HUGE accomplishment, I thought he would still insist on having it until he was 20). He is now sleeping in a big boy bed, and loves the freedom of being able to crawl out of bed whenever he wants to. He loves going to nursery and playing with all of his friends. The list goes on and on...but I'll stop, I think that I've bragged enough. I just can't believe how fast he is growing up.

It is overwhelming at how much the Lord has blessed us and is continuing to bless us. I am so grateful for family, the gospel, and all that I have. I hope that you all had a great 2008! I can't wait to see what 2009 brings!

MeRrY ChRiStMaS

Merry Christmas to everyone...a few weeks late. We had a wonderful Christmas! Brayden was so much fun this year. Santa brought him a spring horse to ride. He wasn't so sure about it at first. He just kept staring at it and making his horse sound. But after a few minutes he decided that it was safe to ride, and after that he had to play on it for about five minutes until he could open the rest of his presents.

It only took him about two seconds to figure out how to open the wrapping paper off of his presents after that he was an opening machine.

After opening presents and spending some time at home we went up to Caleb's parents' house to spend time with his family. Elder Bigelow (Caleb's younger brother) called us from Brazil and we all got to talk to him for a bit. It was good to hear from him. He sounds like he is doing awesome. Still getting used to living in another country, the language and being away from family. He bore his testimony to us all in Porteguese. It was so fun to talk to him.
Later that afternoon we then went to my parents' house. After the snow plows came and dug out the streets in Inkom we all were able to make it out to the "country" (as my mom puts it). We then had a yummy ham dinner and opened some presents. We also got a fun surprise from Aaron and Amy- Brayden gets another little cousin---We are so excited.
As you can see we had a very wonderful Christmas. We are so blessed to have family close by. We are also so grateful for the Lord Jesus Christ. That he was willing to come to earth to make the ultimate sacrifice for us so that we may live with our Heavenly Father again.
Merry Christmas to all, and we love all of you guys.
